Moomins and more…

During my on-going quest for new products to stock in the shop, I inevitibly come across some beautiful things.  Here are a few that I thought I’d share with you.

First up are the Moomins.  Have you heard of them? The Moomins are the central characters in a series of books and a comic strip by Swedish-Finn illustrator and writer, Tove Jansson. They turned 65 this year and were very much present at all the trade fairs.  I will stock them soon, but for now – just loving them!

These vibrant shades and chairs are perfect for adding colour to your home or child’s room.

I am slightly obsessed with Brio toys.  We have some in the shop already, but here are some favourites.

There’s also something of a craze going on at the moment for wall stickers.  They are a fantastic way to change the look  of the room and so easy to apply – what’s not to love.

Hope to see you soon

Addicted to Lights

Whilst looking for new suppliers in Denmark, I also discovered something about me…I am obsessed with lights and cushions, but especially lights.  We went to Copenhagan for a day and visited a department store there and this is what we saw…

How about you?..what household item are you obsessed with?

RIP Steve Jobs

This morning when I switched on my mac to check on emails, a photo of Steve Jobs was looking at me.  When I noticed the two dates under the photo I understood why he was there.  I checked twitter on my i-phone and saw lots of messages circulating about the death of Steve Jobs.  It is indeed very sad that this genius of a man has left Earth and I hope that Apple can carry on his legacy of bringing ingenious innovations to make everyones life easier, better and more fun!  I know that for me,  my i-phone has changed the way I do things. After a struggle to get used to the funny ways of a mac, I have finally got the hang of it so that it now seems ‘normal’ to me in the way a pc used to be.

He looks so young in this photo…

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Think Different, narrated by Steve Jobs
